Elinor, Fanny and Kitty! They laid 532 eggs in 2012 (from a high of 67 in April to a low of 6 in December). Their egg production suffered from molting, heat, cold, reduced hours of daylight...but that's still a lot of brown eggs.
Emma, Harriet and Lydia laid only 377 eggs (going from Sept. 29 to Nov. 25 with NO green eggs at all), have had two separate but equally ugly molts between April and November and only beat out the other girls in December (25 to 6). Despite this their eggs are prettier and have much harder shells.
They will be 3 in May, 2013. I promised them that I would rededicate myself to keeping this blog about them, post lots of photos and keep the treats coming. Happy New Year!
